THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ON EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
The objectives of this research are to: (1) explore the effects of digital transformation on employee engagement, (2) identify digital tools that enhance employee engagement, and (3) assess the impact of digital workplace initiatives on employee satisfaction. A survey design was chosen for its ability to capture employee perceptions and experiences. The sample size, calculated using Taro Yamane's formula, included 379 respondents from corporate organizations in Port Harcourt, ensuring comprehensive insights. The corporate sector was chosen for its diverse workforce and extensive digital adoption. The survey instrument achieved a reliability coefficient score of 0.88. Findings suggest that digital transformation significantly enhances employee engagement by providing flexible work environments, improved communication tools, and opportunities for professional development. Recommendations include investing in user-friendly digital platforms, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and involving employees in digital transformation initiatives to enhance engagement and satisfaction.
